Choice Of Trailer: Our trailer for our film Keith is going to be a mix between a scene and a highlights trailer. The main basis of the trailer will be a scene trailer, but with flashbacks over laid on top of other scenes in the film to create a ‘hybrid’ of the two. Our trailer is going to be a Redband trailer because we are going to use restricted narration and the flashback scenes are going to be quick, with minimal dialogue. We have used Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer as our main inspiration as it goes well with our type of trailer.

Horror Mood Board
We selected images from Henry :portrait of a serial killer, Se7en. Scream, Texas chainsaw massacre
The hills have eyes, Psycho And the tv series Dexter. The reason we chose these images was because it shows serial killers which would relate to our film where we have sympathy for them and others which we don't have sympathy for. W have done this because this is the type of serial killer Keith will be as he has a reason for killing these people but the brutality of kills makes people want to hate him.

Class Poll: Horror Films
Below is the class horror poll that we conducted in October, 2012. It was carried out with 8 males and 9 females, and confirmed that females generally prefer psychological and action horrors, while males prefer gory horrors. The results were close, however, which suggests horror can appeal to both genders.

Stereotypical gory horror fan
Description of
stereotypical fan: His name is Randy, he’s bearded; he doesn’t seem to be
very particular about his image, just dresses in casual wear, not upper class
dress, not tatty old clothes, just normal casual wear. He keeps himself to himself, not particularly
outgoing, maybe slightly overweight/unhealthy but a friendly guy, family
orientated, doesn’t fit the stereotype as a fan of gornography. Reminds people
of Tom Savini who is a special effects person. Maybe would expect this guy
to be a fan of gory horror just by looking at him.
Demographic Profile: C1 – skilled labourers (working class). He
could be a builder/plumber/electrician.
Psychographic
Profile: he is more of an Outsider than a Mainstreamer, he isn’t the kind
of person to watch shows like Geordie Shore or TOWIE. He wouldn’t watch soaps,
more a fan of things like Breaking Bad, Walking Dead, Dexter and small short
run Dramas on BBC/Channel 4.
Favourite films might
include: his three favourite horrors include; Texas Chainsaw Massacre
(1973), Dawn Of The Dead (1979), Friday The 13th (1980).
His other favourite films include: Trainspotting, Pusher,
Snatch etc.
